alyce wrote:Hi everyone. I'm Alyce, and I live in the inner-west suburb of Summer Hill in Sydney. (It has the cutest name, I love saying it. Standard reaction is "awwwww...")
I like to read everything, I devour books, dance, ride my bike around, sew and knit, waste hours on the internet, avoid uni work and cook for everyone else around me. I'm a vegan, so baking is always hard because I rarely get to eat the fruits of my labour!
I'm more into the psychobilly side of the scene, I still love traditional rockabilly style though and wish I could afford all the awesome clothes I wanted.
I don't have a lot of friends in the rockabilly scene down here and I would love to make some more!
heeyy alyce
I was just leavin ya a comment on MurdochSpace.
Lovely to see you here toooo
I've always thought that regardless of what you lived in, if you lived in Summer or Strawberry Hill you'd have the prettiest address EVER. hahaha
I'm sure there are loads of awesome vegan cupcake recipes floating around. Actually which reminds me there was a zine fair (Lets Talk About Text) down your way a while ago. I didn't end up going but I remember the flier said something about "Vegan cupcake construction". Sure piqued my interest haha.

Re: Introductions
Hello everyone!
I'm Rachael and I live in a pretty small town called Warwick in QLD. I'm a mother to 2 gorgeous children and that's pretty much my job description.
I'm a bit new to the whole rockabilly scene but I've always loved the idea of it ever since I was a kid ( I actually used to tell people I was gonna open a 50's cafe when I growed up lol)! I love anything vintage and a lot of people call me an old soul! I love rods, don't own one but want to sooooo bad!
Can't wait to get to know you all!

i'm in to old cars doesnt really matter what brand, was a staunch holden supporter but the modern commonwhores and failcons all look the same.... boilermaker by trade, (stupid idea that one especially when the coldest it gets here is 30 deg C). more into punk and metal than rockabilly but love the whole scene. love tattoos and have a few + alot to get finished, anyways great site

hmm what to say what to say...
Hi all! thought i would post up a thing for the people that don't know me.
My name is Kate Creasey..but the name 'Kat' has stuck i have grown up around cars, rock n roll and rockabilly..but only in recent years have i dressed rockabilly and live the lifestyle completly..ive moved to the gold coast from byron bay around 7 months ago..as you may know byron is MEGA hippy town and i didnt fit in there..either did my familys car's (the local old skool car of byron bay- vw's kombis and mercedes)
Both my dad and my brother are car mad, i have seen more cars than most..in and out of the garage..they are very good at restoring..keeping for a bit..selling..buying again and doing the whole process over..my dad likes the building and restoring of the cars best.
some i really wish he hadn't sold.. ..i became attached to them..i will post pictures of them soon..
I had a 64 chevy for a bit, my dad and i had a few plans with it, but they never came into fruition..it was left hand drive and v8..that was fine in nsw..but in queensland..being a P plater i wasnt able to drive the v8..i also had a 62 xk falcon..i sold them both around 4 months ago.
and got a 69 falcon (currently in bits all over the place) and a 66 fairmont (everyday driver) im on the hunt for a vintage caravan..reason being..i have my own rockabilly jewellery brand 'My Little Rockabilly' and i want to pile it all in there and travel around the country side..stopping by rod and kustom shows. anyway i hope you all enjoy my forum..xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Awesome! I have very little hair these days but what little I have I want to get purple for a Halloween thing. My sideburns are out of control, and the little lady is not happy.
Hey, does anyone know if you can still get those bright vegie colour hair dyes these days? I use to have purple locks years ago but I wouldn't know where to look these days. Has anyone seen them in Brisbane?

At priceline and most hairdressers you can buy all different colours of fudge its great stuff!! The purple one is really good!
Re: Introductions
I'm a fan of Fudge's 'Berry Beret' ... its a bright reddish-purple .. basically purple with a nice hint of red to give it that extra bit of oomph.

i dont think fudge dye is vegie friendly. if you are concerned with that research it before you use it, its hard to find good bright coloured, cruelty free hair dye without turning to manic panic

I used Fudge dye... I have a blue emo cut a few years ago.. & then it was called 'Emo'. So I went back to Brunette ASAP.
Now I just dye it every 3 months to cover the damage from a blonding creme a hairdresser used on me.
