I'm more into the psychobilly side of the scene, I still love traditional rockabilly style though and wish I could afford all the awesome clothes I wanted.
I don't have a lot of friends in the rockabilly scene down here and I would love to make some more!

Lovely to see you here toooo Smile

I've always thought that regardless of what you lived in, if you lived in Summer or Strawberry Hill you'd have the prettiest address EVER. hahaha

I'm sure there are loads of awesome vegan cupcake recipes floating around. Actually which reminds me there was a zine fair (Lets Talk About Text) down your way a while ago. I didn't end up going but I remember the flier said something about "Vegan cupcake construction". Sure piqued my interest haha.

Hello everyone!

I'm Rachael and I live in a pretty small town called Warwick in QLD. I'm a mother to 2 gorgeous children and that's pretty much my job description.

I'm a bit new to the whole rockabilly scene but I've always loved the idea of it ever since I was a kid ( I actually used to tell people I was gonna open a 50's cafe when I growed up lol)! I love anything vintage and a lot of people call me an old soul! I love rods, don't own one but want to sooooo bad!

Can't wait to get to know you all!

Post by My Little Rockabilly Kat Tue Oct 28, 2008 11:57 am

Hi all! cherry thought i would post up a thing for the people that don't know me. cheers
My name is Kate Creasey..but the name 'Kat' has stuck cat i have grown up around cars, rock n roll and rockabilly..but only in recent years have i dressed rockabilly and live the lifestyle completly..ive moved to the gold coast from byron bay around 7 months ago..as you may know byron is MEGA hippy town and i didnt fit in there..either did my familys car's (the local old skool car of byron bay- vw's kombis and mercedes)
Both my dad and my brother are car mad, i have seen more cars than most..in and out of the garage..they are very good at restoring..keeping for a bit..selling..buying again and doing the whole process over..my dad likes the building and restoring of the cars best.
some i really wish he hadn't sold.. No ..i became attached to them..i will post pictures of them soon..
I had a 64 chevy for a bit, my dad and i had a few plans with it, but they never came into fruition..it was left hand drive and v8..that was fine in nsw..but in queensland..being a P plater i wasnt able to drive the v8..i also had a 62 xk falcon..i sold them both around 4 months ago.
and got a 69 falcon (currently in bits all over the place) and a 66 fairmont (everyday driver) im on the hunt for a vintage caravan..reason being..i have my own rockabilly jewellery brand 'My Little Rockabilly' and i want to pile it all in there and travel around the country side..stopping by rod and kustom shows. anyway i hope you all enjoy my forum..xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey, does anyone know if you can still get those bright vegie colour hair dyes these days? I use to have purple locks years ago but I wouldn't know where to look these days. Has anyone seen them in Brisbane?

I'm a fan of Fudge's 'Berry Beret' ... its a bright reddish-purple .. basically purple with a nice hint of red to give it that extra bit of oomph.

Yes, that's it! Manic Panic, heh heh. I can't believe they still make it! I'll have to look on ebay. If I can't get it in time I might have to check out that Fudge stuff.

Thanks ladies!

i dont think fudge dye is vegie friendly. if you are concerned with that research it before you use it, its hard to find good bright coloured, cruelty free hair dye without turning to manic panic

I used Fudge dye... I have a blue emo cut a few years ago.. & then it was called 'Emo'. So I went back to Brunette ASAP. No

Now I just dye it every 3 months to cover the damage from a blonding creme a hairdresser used on me. Evil or Very Mad
