Go-Go Amy & Wintersun

If you can't wait for the Wintersun festival before seeing the Pretty Things Peepshow, you could catch up with Go-Go Amy and her team at the Exxotica Show in Miami first. Amy recently phoned home to find out how her colleagues were. "Miss Heather Holliday is home practicing knife-throwing, and Donny Vomit is somewhere in Brooklyn in a straightjacket,” she explains.



Circus acts form an essential part of the troupe's burlesque repertoire. But sword-swallowing - isn't that dangerous? "When I see Heather go onstage and swallow a sword, I sort of forget that at any moment she could die,” Go-Go Amy says. “I know that when I get done with my fan dance, I should put my fans down and get all the medical supplies ready in case the glass-walker hurts herself. It’s just one of those things that doesn’t phase me anymore.”



So what type of things can be expected at Wintersun - or Wintersin as it might become with Go-Go Amy present? "We’ll be hanging girls from the ceiling and setting our boobs on fire,” she says. “We’ll also be wandering around the convention center in costume for photo ops."
