Oh cool, I had a look at that American Republic at Harbour town on the weekend. Golly gosh, they had some neat stuff. Those girls shoes are so damn fine. they had these swell purple ones with black skulls, I think they were. Hee hee, ah I wish I was a girl sometimes. lol I especially wanna be a Roller girl!

Re: Cool shops..and places to go
awesome shops? i will never tell muahahaha! try local op shops as opposed to the city + surrounding ones. always heaps cheaper and there's always more cool/unusual stuff... Valley markets always have cool things although I haven't been there in like, over a year.
if you like pizza go to Slice in West End, or Govinda's in the city for really cheap Hare Krishna (vegetarian! my bf and i live off that shit). There's a West End one too but it's not as good.

Oh yummy, I lurv their fare! Mondo's at West End make the yummest chippies, but I don't know if they're back in action after their li'l kitchen explosion.
I just remembered the cool second hand place at the end of the main drag in Coolangatta. I can't remember the name of it but it's huge and has heaps of cool bits n pieces.

'20th century antiques' unfortunatly the fello that owns it is a bit odd. there are 2 vintage shops right next to it..they are awesome
one thing i found hilarious was. the guy that owns retro sheila, right next to wintersun, closed the shop he got so busy during wintersun..
who does that? he dosent like selling his stuff

There is (or was) a cute little diner/cafe called 'Cloudland Cafe' in Sandgate - 16 Brighton Road.
I haven't been there in over a year so not sure if it is still there but very cool! You sat on real vintage chairs and couches at period tables.. The magazines that were there to read were from the 50's.. diner style food.. Lots of awesome crap on the walls.. jukebox.. very cool place.. someone go check it out and tell me if it's still there
Kid.
