Our Cars - Past and Present
Saturday and not a thing to do! (well plenty but i need a lazy day )
Here's some pics of my familys current cars, and even a couple past ones.
Havent got any decent pics of the 56 victoria, haha we've only had it for 12 years
Dads inner child
32 roadster, car has quite a bit of history here in victoria. Was originally built in the late 70's/early eighties, would have one of the first Wescott bodies on it. 351 4v cleveland with lots of angry things in it, the motor actually came out of a 12second falcon..now detuned a bit but still wayyy more power than necessary
Also has a phase IV winged sump, gt falcon nerds would probably want that. haha.
My Dad's Daily, 4 speed manual 202 powered EH. Eden Blue special. Great driving car!
This was my first car, Small block Chevy powered EH, colour was Bronze wine and looked amazing at sunset, and when it was hosed down Paint was faded And had an ugly ass sunroof. Was going to fix said probs but my HR van came up and needed cashola quick..and a gretsch guitar
My Brother's FC, sold about a year ago. Fun car! except the time when i took it out with five mates and crushed the rear brake line Who the fook runs brake line on top of tailshafts?!
Will fire up ye odle scanner and get some of our old cars up later

Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
Looks sweet mate! Was there some rust in it? It looked tidy as before you did the work.
You keeping the steelies, or going back to the mags?
Oh, and we need some youtube love with the new engine!
Once again, sweet ride, and awesome pics as always!

Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
Only a few little spots on the corners of the doors which is common for HR's, it was mostly original paint but had bad repairs in the quarter panels, as well as the usual 'grandpa trying to park when he obviously has trouble seeing' dents etc. haha
Yep hewey love the new rims, wasn't too sure what it would look like colour wise but i think the two colours work being similar shades..subtle but kickkassss hahaha
Will work on vid soon, i actually got the exhaust system re done as it was ridiculously loud (even for me!)..its a lot easier on the ears but you can still hear me coming from two states away so its all goood
everybody needs to run MSD 6al's on their cars, trust me

Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
getting booredd agaiinnn haha
Waiting on some bullet leg nuts and some cool spun alloy push through bullets for the centre (if only they made spider caps to suit early holdens!). but toying around with wheel colour, what do you guys think of this??
I think with some chrome/polished alloy it will be a bit brighter..the colour is pretty light but comes out dark on the rim, especially against the green on the car.
The colour is 'light sherwood green metallic' acrylic. It was on special for $2 a can (that holts 'duplicolour') due to the colour being deleted so i went to every parts store within a 30 km distance and found 7 cans :d hahaha probably spent more on petrol than actually saving money!

Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
Still waiting on bullet lug nuts to arrive from the states (freakin postage cost more than the item them selves ) but the wheels are done, i ended up painting them a brighter colour called 'tropicana green', which pops a bit more in the sunlight.
Welded up the patch panel i made for one of the doors on my 35 projecto pickup on friday so all pumped to get started on the other door And waiting for kev's contribution in funding my front end. haha

Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
the green turned out pretty good, should definitely look kickass with your shiny bullet caps in the middle

Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
Looks good Sean! I like the contrasting colour of the wheels, should look great with the bullet nuts and centre cap! Well done!
Re: Our Cars - Past and Present
Thanks guys! yep kat usedto have an aceholes logo on the side but decided to keep it plain for a while, might get signage again sometime but a bit more 'authentic'(rip out the one shot)
Here's another car we used to have, we sold it around 2000, got shipped to the states, then a couple from germany bought it and took it home with them. I tracked the owner down a couple years later and we were in regular contact. Havent heard from them for a while now but was nice to know the Roadsters little adventures around the world!
Here is what is looked like when we had it:
And this is it now!
They ended up having a minor prang with it which eventually turned into a minor rebuild, including converting it to LHD (its an aussie body), new 302 windsor and lots of little things like front ends (we had a dropped and drilled beam that bent in the accident so now has a tube). Ive got plenty of pics somewhere but cant find them!
The other 33 in the last pic was another car they purchased and rebuilt, it came from new zealand!

Bit of an update on Mr. whippy. Getting a great friend Ket to reupholster the original bench seat which will be great..Put a new gearbox in the other week which fixed the death rattles/vibrations and noises which made it hell to drive haha. All better now
Went to a local car show on sunday so gave it a clean up. Was a nice day so finally got round to taking a few pics in my backyard..im prety happy with the car now! which is good because i wont have much time for it when the new one gets here muahaha.
