Dale Hawkins passed away

I am writing to tell you sad news that is US rockabilly singer Dale hawkins who had the song Suzi Q which was the hit for him in 1957 passed away on february 13th aged 73 after a battle with colon cancer. He was born on August 22nd 1936 in Gold Mine,Louisana and was playing in the clubs in shreverton,Louisana. Suzie Q was an top 30 hit in the USA which went to no 27 and the man who played lead guitar on it was James Burton who would go to play with Ricky Nelson, Elvis Presley.john denver and others and this song has been by other artist including the rolling stones on the 12x5 album in 1964, creedence clearwater revival had their 1st hit with in 1968,gene vincent did it in 1964 on the shakin up a storm and others. he had the cancer snce 2006 and still peformed during radiation therapy. may his music live on.
