Twilight Hot Rod Show on Jan 24 (Brisbane)

Howdy folks, it's been a while since I've posted any goss on the OzRocker forum, so I'll get back into it now with some info on the next big event in Brisbane.

Twilight Hot Rod Show - Sunday January 24, 2010 (Australia Day Weekend) - 2pm to 8pm

The idea behind this summertime event is to gather together in the cool of the afternoon, check out the rods and dig the bands. Who says hot rod shows have to start at 8am in the morning?!

Folks are saying the Twilight show is just like the early days (daze?) of GreazeFest, which is just about the best compliment we could receive.

New Venue

We’ve moved the venue for the Twilight Hot Rod Show to a new location:

Rocklea Showground - cnr of Ipswich Road (service road) and Goburra Street - Rocklea

The show format welcomes all pre-1970 vehicles, especially Holdens, Valiants, Aussie Fords and Chryslers, whether they are in daily-driver or restored condition.

Entertainment

A quality line up of rockabilly bands will be performing, including:
- Pat Capocci Combo
- Danny & The Cosmic Tremors
- The Ten Fours

There will also be a wide range of market stalls, plus food, a licensed bar, and FREE SAMPLE BAGS for the kids, containing all sorts of motoring themed goodies.

GreazeFest

The Rocklea Showground is also being groomed for the upcoming GreazeFest Hot Rod Show on August 1, 2010. The Twilight show will be a practice run for our GreazeForce team and we can iron out any lumps or bumps before the big Kustom Kulture gathering.
