45 years since the Beatles Australian tour

I am writing to say that this month is 45 years when the BEatles did their first and only Australian tour which started with on june 12th & 13th with 2 shows in Adelaide @ Centennial Hall and Jimmy Nicol was a substitute drummer as Ringo Starr was getting his tonsils out which 300,00 people packed the streets of adelaide to greet the beatles. Ringo rejoined the group in Melbourne which they did 3 shows in Melbourne @ the Festival Hall on June 15th,16th and 17th and the june 17th show was filmed for the TV special the Beatles Sings for Shell which was broadcast on Channel 9 on July 1st 1964. they played 3 shows in sydney from june 18th-20th at the sydney and among them the people who met the beatles @ the Shearton hotel were Jenny Kee and singer Billy THorpe whose band the Aztecs had the number 1 record in australia at that very time with Poison Ivy. from june 22-27 the beatles played in New Zealand which they played in wellington,auckland,dunedin and christchurch and came back to australia to play the last 2 shows which was in brisbane at the festival Hall. The support acts on that tour were-
NZ-Australian rocker Johnny Devlin
Australian rocker Johnny Chester (who became an very successful country singer)
Melbourne rock group The Phantoms which included the late Pete Watson who an year later formed MPD limited along with Danny Finley and Mike Brady and UK instrumental group Sounds Incorporated.
