Wow you two!! I freakin love them both!! Hehe gotta love tiki cannibals, I made one for Hewey because I'm awesome Razz

I was almost going to submit a few of these plush felt tiki... things.. as 'sculptures'..but I couldn't be stuffed.. I hand sew them, they take a number of hours to make because I suck at sewing.. plus I couldn't find the time inbetween Uni work.. maybe next year Wink

Ummm I know. There was that beatnik/shag-esque looking picture that came from England, Rob walker's painting of the tiki in space aaaand a velvet painting featuring a hawaiian girl.

Congrats Rob Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy I reckon there's a good chance the velvet was done by Daryl aka Baron Von Weirdo, he does great work

If it was him, he must of had a buttload of entries. I noted the very large (and very expensive) screen prints were by him.

There were no trophies for the art works, three or four judges chose their fav piece, well I think that was the deal. Celebrity artist Max Grundy chose a very well done pinstripe tiki on a motor cycle tank and was awarded a piece of his art for the effort.
Cant remember the blokes name from England with the shag-esque painting but it was very cool.
Yes it was Darryl Von Weirdo Millers' very swank velvet painting that was also on the A list. I hadn't seen Darryl for a few years so it was good to catch up.
(sidenote) Though some on this forum may only have been a gleam in your old mans eye at the time, it was through the efforts of Darryl Miller n the Kustom Kruisers that we have the Kustom Kulture lifestyle we enjoy today.
