Tiki hut for the mut
I started this kennel for my dog Chopper last year, it fits a large hessian dog bed inside & was going to have a thatched roof with a big bamboo ridge but I couldn't find any thing suitable for the thatch. Chopper soon discovered that he likes the taste of the bamboo curtain so thats been long gone. What else have people made for their pets / kids etc ?

Re: Tiki hut for the mut
This is an old pic, I made a couple of hebel tikis to guard the dog house. The plan was a thatch roof and extending the front a-frame with a canoe prow, but there was too much rot in the timber and the thing was junked. The tikis were finished off and given away as presents. Still wouldnt have had the same style as yours with a proper mid century roofline to it
You might like how we decorate our cabin at the Canberra Rod and Kustom Kruise. The thatch was bought from a place that specialises in Bali imports, you buy it lengths. Surfboard cost $15 at a garage sale around the corner from us.
