Eve Hell at Zombies A-Go-Go
Western Canada's hottest rockabilly act, Eve Hell & the Razors, who made such a big impression at Viva Las Vegas this year, will be appearing at Zombies A-Go-Go at the Belle Petroleum Centre in Peace River this Saturday. The event has been organised by local portable welding company, Hell'n'Back.
Eve will be celebrating the release of her new album, 'Fire It Up.' "This is no question one of the best rockabilly bands in Western Canada," explains Sue Thompson of Hell'n'Back, "They play all over Alberta but it's the first time they're playing this far north, so we're really lucky to get them to Peace River. You're not going to see an event like this up here every day, and we hope we get a great turnout so we can keep attracting bands of this quality."
The event will be preceded by a zombie walk which begins in the car park, meanders through downtown Peace River and then returns to the centre. Zombies get $5 off entry to the main event.
"The zombie walk held this summer through local arts collective The Artistry was a huge success," Sue, a professional fire dancer, says, "And many more people said they'd wanted to take part but were away. It seemed like a fun idea to do another one while everyone is getting into the mood for Halloween."
