Post by falzoony on Thu Jun 17, 2010 11:06 am

There's gotta be some guitarist on the forum.
How about you put up some pics and share a bit of info.
I'll start!
This is my newest it's a GreTsch 6120-1960, 2001(pre fender) build. I love it, I can't put it down feels and sounds beautiful.

That's a sweet Gretsch there falzoony!
If only I had a musical bone in my body, I'd love to be able to play any musical instrument, but alas, I am instrument retarded. So all I can do is watch, listen and admire. Although I'd love to have a Gretsch just so I could say I owned one... Bit pointless though I think...
And don't worry about the size of the pics, the bigger the better!

Thanks pal!
Yes the gretsch's are nice to look at. You could looking at getting a gretsch electromatic, they are way cheaper than the top of the line gretsch's and look just as good to the untrained eye. It would make an excellent feature to any room.

Nice Gretsch Falzoony Cool

Kid Setzer *allegedly* owns a guitar, but I'm dubious since I've never seen it myself... Razz

My brother picked up a cheapie accoustic guitar for $50, to non-guitar folks like myself it looks like pretty neat. I've considered getting one for some wall art - just get it pinstriped, or cheaper still get some pinup decals for it. Hang it on the wall and it looks awesome.

I've also considered making a single string Bo Didley slide guitar like this, just to make some noise with Laughing

The kind of stuff you can play on a single string slide

That single string slide that Jack White makes is cool... and he just nails all the pieces in place! Might have to go buy a glass bottle of coke.... but then I'd need an amp and a pickup... and all the other gear.... great idea though!
I have no idea where you find all these interesting videos and pictures Hewey, but you're a bloody genius!

Haha very cool, nothing beats a home made instrument.
Reminds me of Whamola.
