Metalflake anyone?? Photossss

Post by Sean on Mon Apr 13, 2009 12:46 pm

Had a good friend come over today to shoot some pics of his valiant. Glen's a motor trimmer by trade (does killer traditional 60's styled custom stuff) and isn't afraid to give anything a go. This is his first attempt at flake which came out rather well! Very Happy The sun was being a bitch and couldn't get good shots of the sparkle sparkle, but check out the killer design and style going on here..

That's heaps nice, Even though I'm not too keen on lace work & patterns & stuff.

i've been tossing up weather to do metal flake on my XP or not.
was thinking black flake roof with the green lower half.

Gold metal flake roof with matte black bottom.

Or the stock XP falcon gold all over, but with metal flake on the roof.

still pondering,

Thats cool man! I'm not a mad fan of lace or pattern designs much either but killer work!
I'm about to flake a pedalcar for my little girl for Wintersun, gold flake over silver basecoat, with a vibrant green topcoat and as much clear as I can con my mate into shooting onto it! It's slammed, no pedal assembly anymore (basically a pushcar), lake pipes, dagmar bullets on the front bar and 59 Caddy inspired bullet style taillights, should be awesome when finished. I'll try and post some pics up of it on here when its done....
Gorilla Biscuit, DO IT! Before Kate does her XP Fairmont! Bah, do it anyway! It'll look killer as!!!
