Well this is my first studio shoot I did with my friend Alisha (please don't beat me up for posting this) just thought I'd share it with everyone. I haven't really done much black and white before so I started experimenting. I would much appreciate feedback =]

Emily, great shot.

May I ask, are you the photographer or the model?

I love the wardrobe.

Ahh cool - I've been to that studio perhaps - on Grey Street?

Anyway, back on topic.

It's a gorgeous shot, light works well, pose is also very nice.
Only thing I can suggest for the future is having you model angle her shoulders slightly so you get more of her face in the shot. Or perhaps turn her towards the camera slightly so you can get an idea of where her other arm is & also the back shoe in the shot completely.

I think the black & white is very effective here.

Can't wait to see more. Forgive me for blabbering on.

This a great shot Emily! A habit I've noticed with models (me especially haha) is that when they pose they tend to raise their shoulders which generally obscures their face so that is something to watch all the time and perhaps gently remind them from time to time. I know the whole face issue was covered but thought I'd lay the blame with the model instead of you Razz haha!

Apart from that I really like this shot...only other thing I would add is to experiment with angles...interesting angles always add to simple, classic shots like this, especially if you're going for a noir look.

Thumbs up lil lady...methinks we should do a shoot together (it's really just an excuse to hang out teheh)
