Budget Shag 'print'

Post by hewey on Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:24 am

I got this invite to a Shag exhibition at Outre gallery (on their mailing list). So a mate suggests I take that in and get it signed - cool idea! So i got it signed (and bought his book and got that signed too).

So I decided the best thing to do was frame it. So i bought a standard frame from a discount store, made up my own matting (cardboard from Officeworks) and made this - a Shag print, personally signed by Shag, for like $15 all up Very Happy Very Happy

Oh, that is sooo damn cool that you met Shag. That's freaking neat. I'd love to meet Coop.

He seemed pretty cool, but i didnt get much of a chat, the place was pretty busy and i didnt wanna 'hog' him Laughing had a good chat to Keith Weesner when he was out, he seems like a very cool guy, pretty down to earth and humble too.

Some pics I'd forgotten about

Shag with some ugly bloke (I dont look happy because that is like the third time the guy tried to take the photo, and i am trying to work out why the camera isn't working):

Great photos, I love his suit and the shirt. That li'l tiki looks cute. I might try and make a tiki out of something one day. Looks like they had heaps of his stuff up. Ah, Keith Weesner... is he the guy that draws hot rods and girls? I'll have to google him.
