Marrickville: Spring Fling Ball

A tsunami of girls are expected at the Marrickville Spring Fling Ball, Sydney this weekend. “Boys - if you want to pick up, it’ll be like shooting fish in a barrel,” says organiser Emma Gardiner-Deans.



In a perfect recreation of 1950s Strollers Dances, you can expect to see ladies in fancy frocks and men in three-piece suits dancing the night away.

Music from the Ellipsis Swingers is guaranteed to have people boogieing into the streets nearby. “So many people I know still want to go out and do fun stuff but you don’t want to go clubbing,” Emma adds, “This is not about going out and getting trashed with random strangers. There’s food, a few drinks, so it’s still a really fun night out with your friends.”



The show starts at 7pm and tickets cost $100 each - but that includes a three course meal, beer, wine and soft drinks.
